Thermography measures surface temperatures by using infrared video and still cameras. These tools see light that is in the heat spectrum. Images on the video or film record the temperature variations of the building's skin, ranging from white for warm regions to black for cooler areas.
Infrared thermography is an excellent tool to non-invasively view and evaluate heat flow, air flow, and moisture flow within the building. It has the ability to view property from a different angle, and see potential issues unseen to the normal eye. Allowing the problems to be addressed before they become bigger issues.
Using thermography also helps identify and inspect areas that can be dangerous for workers, eliminating the need to climb ladders or scaffolding.
